| CLARITY OF DIAMOND |
|

Colour / Clarity / Carat / Cut
Most diamonds develop natural "inclusions," such as "crystals" or "feathers," during their formation deep within the earth. Diamond clarity is graded based on the position, colour, number, nature and size of these inclusions. The fewer the inclusions, the rarer the diamond and the greater the value. Flawless and internally flawless diamonds are exceedingly rare.
All Gili diamonds are graded for clarity by professionally trained, experienced graders according to the guidelines. While some stores may use vague or deceptive phrases, at Gili you will receive a diamond grading report that clearly shows the clarity grade and identifying features which make your diamond jewellery unique.
Treated Diamonds
Over the years, science and technology have been used to artificially treat diamonds to improve their overall appearance. Some of the procedures used to disguise diamonds of inferior quality are heating, fracture filling, laser drilling, dyeing and coating. Some of these treatments are temporary, and they all must be disclosed.
At Gili, we do not sell treated diamond jewellery. Our expertly trained diamond buyers meticulously examine every diamond to make sure that your Gili Diamond will be naturally beautiful.
Clarity Scale An accurate clarity grade can only be assigned by an experienced professionally trained grader using 10x magnification.
