Colour / Clarity / Carat / Cut
To accurately determine a diamond's colour grade the diamond is viewed, table down, under controlled conditions and compared to a "Master Set" whose colours have been predetermined. Gili diamonds are carefully colour-graded by experienced professional graders according to these guidelines.
The grand moment arrived in 2003 when an inevitable occasion marked yet another milestone and a landmark in Gili's book of conspicuous success, grand performance and remarkable recognition.
Fancy coloured diamonds occur in nature in shades ranging from pale yellows and pinks to vivid blues and reds; these vivid hues are the rarest of all. Diamonds can also be artificially colour-enhanced to achieve every shade from pure white to black.
At Gili, you will find that all the Diamond are of similar colour. For some people, the "whitest" or most colourless diamond is the most desirable; for others, clarity or cut is more important. No matter which you prefer, you can rest assured that your Gili diamonds has a natural colour.
“Master-set” diamonds predetermined by the Gemological Institute of America are used to grade colour.
